BIG BOY (and pictures)

First I MUST update that Jack is very close to being all the way potty trained. He really has been doing great this week and we even ventured out and wore underwear to school and he did great. Today was his 2nd day at school in undies and he stayed dry all day!!!!!!!!!! He has been doing GREAT at home. I hate potty chairs but I really think the frog potty did the trick. I can't wait to get rid of it!!!!

I can't believe how big (old) he has gotten lately. It's like he turned into a big kid overnight. The way he talks, the way he acts, what he does. I LOVE it but at the same time I am very sad that my PEANUT is not such a PEANUT anymore!

The other night, Jack and I were practicing opposites before going to bed. Hot and Cold. Up and Down. In and Out....etc. He stopped me and said, "mommy i know a opposite" and I asked which one he knew and he said, "Poop and Pee!" can we say ALL BOY!!! and potty training on the brain!!! HAHAH!!!

We have really been enjoying the weather. Matt and I just got bikes and we bought a bike trailer for jack to ride in. HE LOVES it! Matt and I need new seats....that's all I have to say about that! HAH!!!

Enjoy the pictures below. Lots of family pictures and random summer pictures!!!

Happy Summer!

We had an Amy/Zoey day the other day and we went to a new splash pad park by our house. They are just two peas in a pod. Sometimes I wonder about them. They crack us up. They had a good time at the splash pad and then afterwards we came back to the house to wind down, although they didn't wind down much. They wrestled the whole time. Jack was just jumping all over Zoey and Zoey would laugh from her head to her toes. TOO FUNNY!!!

sorting rocks
Jack's new ritual, he walks the wall and then we have to go to the other side and sort rocks. He likes the pink rocks the best

Jack practicing to be a baseball teamer
This is good ole' Winnie Dog. Winifred Pooh. She is 14 and has been the best dog ever. She is blind and deaf and it's so sad but she is still a sweetie. I am afraid she won't be around much longer. I have been trying to tell Jack that she might have to go to heaven soon and he said that was okay, we could send her balloons in the sky to heaven and a "dog bone".

Having the time of his life

I think Jack had the best day of his life this past week. He got to spend Tuesday with Mimi and Popsy while mommy and daddy worked. And Popsy put him to work!!!! They dug out a great big stump and jack is happiest in the dirt! Popsy taught him how to use the "cloppers" (aka...loppers) and he also found a new pet. A pet worm to be exact. He would never touch a worm until that day. He figured out that worms don't bite and Jack and the worm bonded. He found a nice home for him (a tupperware) and put some dirt and rocks in there for him. He even had a spray bottle of water to keep him moist. His name was Weanie and he shall be Jack's!!!!

A few days later we were back at their house and Jack and his cousin Darek found another worm. Weanie and the new worm Wormie, moved in together.

Friday night, much to our dismay........."Mimi, wormie and weanie look like sticks today"

I am sorry to say that Wormie and Weanie have passed away!

But that's okay, "There are lots of worms in the dirt and we can get more. 2 and 3 and 4 wormies!" says Jack!

The much anticipated.......

A DAY OUT WITH THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE!!!!
Mimi, Popsy, Daddy, Mommy and Jack headed out bright and early (8am) to Connersville, IN (Popsy grew up there) to take a ride on Thomas the train. Jack has been anticipated this day for a VERY long time. (We bought the tickets in Feb).
(Side note: i picked him up one day from school and he always wants to go somewhere after school. He asked where we were going, I said home. He said, no, I want to go to June. I was thinking of everything he could have possibly been talking about. I finally asked all the right questions and he meant he wanted to go to June, as in the month, so that we could see Thomas. I think this was in like April or May!!!) So June the PLACE to him, not the MONTH)

Anyway, we got there about 15 mintues before we board the train and when jack saw Thomas "thundering down the line" he was sooooo happy. He started waving his hands really fast and said, "I'M SO CITED (EXCITED)" I had never heard him use the word before. He said it about 3 times that day. It was well worth every penny for him to be that excited.

So we took a 30 minute ride on thomas the train and did some of the other activities they had. It was just a really great FAMILY day for us!!!

Daddy, Conductor, Mommy and Jack

SUPER excited to see Thomas thundering down the line!!!

"Sir Topham Hatt"

loving every minute of it!

I think every kid there probably had a train table at their house but that's all they seemed interested in.

Jack is in the 2nd car

Jack got to touch the engine. (Reminds me of on Finding Nemo..."Nemo touched the "butt"")
