playdate
Below is a pic of them sitting on the couch together. They really do play well together. And they actually PLAY TOGETHER. A lot of kids their age just play around each other but not together. They are cute. It's like they know they are supposed to be friends and be cute. haha.
This was Jack's first time around a baby really. He is around kids his own age a lot but not teeny babies. He wasn't really sure. When I first was holding her, he told me to "Clean up" and then he would tell me "all done". Quite humorous. He is defintely a mama's boy so the jealousy came out in full force.
So below is the picture of Jack holding Myah, with big sister Zoey by his side making sure he did it right. He was very sweet to Myah for the most part. He wanted to miss her a lot but then the next thing you knew him and Zoey would be throwing toys. YIKES!!!
Update on jack, well he was sick at the beginning of the week and much to our dismay....ANOTHER EAR INFECTION. he is on another round of oral antibiotics and i am not seeing anymore drainage from his ear so hopefully it clears up because if now, shots again for 3 days and we do not want that.
He is such a ham lately. he is WAY into dancing. he loves to turn the radio on or put music on the computer and dances away. he swings his arms around and around and then you will tell him to do his feet and he tap his little feet. it's hyserical!!! Still into john deere and elmo of course. He is talking up a storm. I think he says something new everyday, its just whether we can understand him or not. His new thing is to ask for a hot dog. Everytime we eat almost he says hot dog. And the funny thing is, he doesn't hardly get those that often. He has also been talking about the potty a lot, which is calls "bubble". not sure why but when you say potty, he says bubble. He sits on it occassionally but nothing happens. We are NOT pushing it at all. I know he isn't ready. Some kids at school are sitting on the potty regularly so I think that's why. His time will come, slowly but surely I know!!!
Well, I am going to get to bed. LOTS of snow tonight so early to rise to get to work on time!!!
Hope everyone is well and you all are ready for Christmas!!!!
HUGS,
Lindsay
p.s. new favorite food for the week: corn bread! he had about 5 pieces yesterday!!!
p.s.s. picture below is the all famous "oohh ohh ahh ahh" Hope we never lose him!!! (the monkey was actually mine and my roommate in college, Jan, brought him home from Florida one time!! haha)

winter fun
we headed to the back yard and got him out of the sled and showed him how to make a little snow ball and i threw a few at a tree nearby. he wasn't into that at all. when i put snow in my hand he told me to "clean up". he didn't want to touch it at all and he didn't want it on him at all. he wanted back in the sled and kept riding!!!
so we had a really great time and next time we are going to try snow angels. that should be interesting!!! haha. Enjoy the pictures!!!

nothing much
Jack has his first little cold of the winter as well but he isn't doing too bad. Just some coughing and runny nose. No fever and not too much wheezing. I think we have this one under control. We'll just pray the rest of the winter he stays healthy! He did qualify for getting the RSV shot this winter so we are really thankful for that. He goes in once a month for a shot that helps protect against RSV. He hates it and i hate it but we love that it keeps him from getting sick.
FUNNY JACK STORY:
The other day, Jack and I were at my mom and dads and my dad was on the couch sleeping and snoring. jack doesn't really know snoring since matt and i don't snore. jack and i and my mom were playing and then all of a sudden jack went and got a book. he got a thomas the train book that has buttons that play sounds or music or whatever. he got the book, took it over to the couch where my dad was laying (no expression whatsoever from jack this whole time). he layed the book down beside my dad, just kept looking at my dad and then pressed a button on the book. it was the "snore" button. it sounded like someone snoring!!!! IT WAS HILARIOUS!!!! still no expression from jack and he is just staring at my dad. my dad is not moving and he pushes the button again. and my dad did nothing, jack wasn't amused and he went back to playing. i just thought it was funny that he knew that the book snored and so did my dad. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
well, that's about it for now. sorry i don't have any new pictures to post today. jack's too busy to stop and get a good picture anymore!!!! haha
hope all is well and that everyone is getting ready for the holidays!!!!
hugs

i also wanted to share a little bit of jack's dictionary. my friend and i were just talking about how i can't understand her son and she can't understand jack but we both know what our son's are saying. it' funny how that works.
17) laats= lights
he says lots of other things but of course i can't think of anything else that's kind of silly.
that's all for now!!!enjoy all the random pics!
p.s. i'm not sure if anyone knows this but we don't have a guestbook on here like we did the old one. on this particular website you can comment on each and every post right near the end of each post under "comment". We would love to hear from everyone!!!

updates
Wednesday he had his RSV shot appt in the morning and then an ear dr appt and that went sorta well too. His ears were clear, therefore he wanted to put tubes in ASAP. So Thursday morning Jack got tubes in again. That went well too! He's an old pro at that now!!!
Everything else is going good. He had his first tumble down the stairs. Which I know won't probably be the last but it was his first real "owey". He's okay though!
Oh, also he weighed 22 pounds 8 ounces which is the 2nd percentile and he is 32 inches tall which is about 3-4 percentile!!!
That's all for now because I'm headed off to work!!!

March of Dimes Chef's Auction
There were about 10 different resturants there that had cooked up their favorite dishes and you walked around to sample. Different buisnesses donated their services or items for a silent auction and then there were about 10 items in the live auction. Jack finger painted a big framed canvas and that was the first item to be auctioned
It went for $625, bought by the neonatologist that delivered him!!!! VERY AWESOME!!!
I also gave a speech about our pregnancy, HELLP Syndrome and NICU journey. It was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Thank goodness Matt stayed up on stage with me, or I might have not gotten through it.
Jack did great throughout the whole night, which was surprising since it didnt get over until abtu 2 hours past his bedtime. There was a battery operated jeep there that was up for auction that kept his attention. We would have bid on it had he been a bit bigger. Maybe next year!
All in all it was a GREAT night and the March of Dimes raised $65,000!!!! Tomorrow we have another event that I am giving the same speech at. A much smaller crowd. About 100 compared to about 400!! We are looking very forward to it.
Also tomorrow, Jack goes to the ear doctor AGAIN. DOUBLE EAR INFECTION AGAIN!!! please keep us in your prayers!!
hugs,
lindsay

First post
I am attaching some pictures from the past 2 months, including his 2 year pictures!!!
So now for a real update on jack. Well, all i really have to say is that HE'S 2 (in 4 weeks) and he is sure doing a good job "acting two". He loves to throw fits when he doesn't get his way. He is actually an angel for daddy and not so much for mommy so I might just run away! :-)
As far as his health goes, lung wise he is doing great. he has a cold right now and he is not needing any extra treatments so that's a huge relief. He is getting the shot once a month again this year, for RSV and we are thankful he qualified to get it again. Just another helper to protect him. His ears on the other hand are making us crazy. We can't win for losing. He has had his tubes out, in, out, in and out. They are still infected. He has icky stuff coming out of them still and he just went through 3 days worth of antibiotic injections 2 weeks ago. We go Wednesday so please pray that the doctor has a very good plan because i'm about done with this ear thing.
Jack is growing a bit he is now about 23 pounds and probably 30.5 inches. We actually go to his 2 year check up on his birthday so we won't know percentiles until then. We head to Riley to the lung doctor on the 13th for a chest xray and to look at his heart.
Jack is also been talking up a storm. He says a little bit of everything!!! That's the part i love about his age!!!! He learns something new everyday!!!
Well, that's about all the update I have for now. Remember, to read about his NICU days, pregnancy days and to see earlier pics, visit http://www.jackmatthew.com/ We will keep that up, but this website is where the new stuff will be. IT'S SO MUCH EASIER!!!!
Thanks for visiting. You can also post comments on here as well that Matt and I can read. We love that!!!
HUGS!!!!
