Circus Fair

The Shrine Circus is in town and we contemplated ALL week about whether or not we should "waste" the money and take Jack. After much thinking we thought it would be TOO much for him and he wouldn't sit still for much of it. They did have a circus fair before, during, and after the circus and it was free admission so we did that. He loved it!!!! Tigers, Lions, Elephants, pigs, cows, camels, donkeys, ducks, goats, chickens, ponies, bunnies, etc. He rode a pony and a camel and LOVED it!!!! So it was a great little trip and afterwards we went to get ice cream. WHITE, not CHOCOLATE of course. Jack does NOT like chocolate and he will be the first to tell you!!!

Also, Jack had a pulmonology appointment at Riley yesterday and it went very well. Dr. M was very very impressed with his lungs and how healthy he has been so far this winter. We are starting to wean his inhalers which is awesome! And guess what his weight was.........................

30 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it?!?!?! Donut balls and pancakes are really paying off!! And he was almost 37 inches long! He is doing great.

Today he had a follow up at the eye doctor to see if his glasses were doing the job and they are!!!! YAY!!!!! so he will continue wearing them full time and have a full eye exam in 6 months to check the prescription again.

That's all for now. Enjoy the pictures below of the Circus Fair!

Amy and Zoey Day 1/22/09

Sorry it's been so long since I have updated since the urgent prayer request. We have had a busy couple of weeks. I do have to still ask for prayers for my dear friend Amy and her family as they still grieve the loss of their daughter Myah.

Today Jack had a doctor's appointment in Indianapolis so I invited Amy and Zoey to join Jack and I for the day to get her out of the house and for Zoey to let off some steam. We headed out early and went to the Children's museum. The kids had a blast. They were so good and just really enjoyed themselves. Thank you Amy for letting me take you guys with us today. I had a great time with you two. I really enjoyed spending time with you today!!!!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST

I am writing to you with a sad soul and a grieving heart and begging you to pray with me for my dear friend Amy and her family.

Today they lost their precious little girl Myah. Myah just turned 1 in November and was a healthy baby girl. She died possibly from SIDS. I don't know many details. I am truly heart broken for everyone.

Many of you have seen pictures of Zoey on Jack's website. Myah is Zoey's sister!!!

Please God be with them in this time of need and offer them guidance as they grieve.

Playdate, Snow Day and new Bathroom

Today was a CRAZY day. First Jack slept TERRIBLE!! He was probably so excited that his BFF Zoey was coming over. We went to pick her up at daycare at 830am and then headed to our house. They were both CRAZY 3 year olds and HYPER. Super excited to play together. (Even though they are in the same class at school!!) After they settled down they were awesome. Off in their own little world together. Playing thomas, reading books, dancing, watching TV, etc. Then ate lunch and back to take Zoey to school.

Zoey wanted to snuggle and Jack seemed so unphased by it. He just kept reading his book! HAH!

After nap time, daddy came home from work and we headed outside to play in the snow. I think I was the only mom who didn't have pictures of her child in the snow this winter and it's because we hadn't been out in the snow. I know, I am a terrible mother.

Purdue hat, Michigan coat. At least there is no Ohio State!

Jack didn't mind the snow at all. He can't function in gloves at all so he didn't want to "play" in the snow at all. He just walked this sled around with a stuffed dog in it and then wanted to go back inside. I think he liked putting on his new boots the best. HA!

Next are some pictures of Jack's newly decorated and painted bathroom. When we bought our house a year and a half ago, the whole house was only primed which has been nice. It's like a clean slate. We started with the downstairs last year and now we are working on the upstairs. We got new flooring for the bathrooms so that's where we have started. Jack enjoyed helping Mimi paint his dino green bathroom. (I have been fired from painting per Mimi. I don't have the patience!!!)

notice the dino shower hooks!!!!

the wall color is color matched to the green dinos in the shower curtain. I love IT!!!!!

Well, that's all for now. Enjoy the pictures!!!

the last of the holiday photos

I just thought I would post the last of the holiday pictures. I finally stole my mom's camera to download all she had so I could post them. ENJOY

These two pictures (above and below) are pictures of Jack opening a VERY special present from his GREAT grandpa. (my dad's dad). My grandpa makes things like my dad (ie:Santa rocking chair we have) and my parents have a wooden nativity scene that he made. Jack is obsessed with the sheep that come with the nativity scene. Well, Great Grandpa found out about that and so he sent Jack his very own FLOCK of sheep. 18 to be exact. All shapes and sizes and colors and spotted. They are awesome!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU GREAT GRANDPA! WE LOVE AND MISS YOU!

Making cookies with Auntie Ang. That lasted for about 3 minutes (2 minutes and 30 seconds longer than I thought it would). He isn't a big fan of icing or chocolate. Only SUGAR cookies!!! That's ONE thing he takes after me on and NOT Daddy!

Just a random picture of present time with my sister (on the couch) and my nephew Darek (blue sweatshirt) and Me and Matt's leg and Jack's head! :0)

Jack with is beloved THOMAS THE TRAIN TABLE!

AND AGAIN.......

New Year's Eve with his cousin Jake at an IPFW basketball game. Sorry bad pic of Jake but he NEVER has his eyes open in pictues.

eating a hot dog with papa at the basketball game

dinner on New Year's Eve with Mimi and Papa. Jack put a pepper shaker in Mimi's tea. Mimi thought it was funny...Mommy and Daddy.....not so much!

"Papa, don't kiss my mimi. It's my mimi!"

ice storm 08. Mimi's tree in her front yard. Luckily we only lost power for 36 hours and were able to stay at my parents. My sister and her family didn't have power for 5 days and many other people a lot longer. We are fortunate everything and everyone was okay thru the whole ordeal. We didn't know for sure how long we were going to be without power and we just put a new lock on our front door.....neither one of us put the new key on our key chain............so.....LOCKSMITH TO THE RESCUE. and 3 hours later the power came on. No regrets. Jack's medicine inside is worth more than that!!!

no explanation needed!

homemade donut balls(holes) that Mimi made for New Years day breakfast. His eyes look like he just ate the whole plate full!!!
